David passed away in 2024, but PM and her family remain committed to producing site specific wines with biodynamic and organic practices, with Dean Shaw as winemaker. They also produce wines in Burgundy. The estate is named after David’s great great grandfather, John Turnbull Thomson, who explored and mapped Central Otago in the 1850s.
