A flagship Margaret River Chardonnay, it was grown on the estate’s dry-farmed, biodynamically certified Wilyabrup vineyard, from own-rooted Wente-clone vines planted in 1976. The 2024 vintage was exceptionally hot, dry and early, producing concentrated fruit while retaining the wine’s characteristic freshness and precision. Hand-harvested across 5 picks, the fruit was whole-bunch basket-pressed into French oak puncheons, 50% new, where indigenous yeasts carried out both primary and malolactic fermentation.
