Collaboration Aurulent Chardonnay 2022

Some elegant Hawkes Bay Chardonnay right here. It has a toned down fruit profile, the well measured influence of French oak, medium body, all drawn out with taut freshness. All in all, a sophisticated drop that will reveal more of itself slowly in the glass. Ohiti Valley and Havelock North fruit is whole bunch pressed into barrel, goes through full malolactic fermentation, and is aged for 8 months on lees.

Julianne Brogden tells us exactly what she’s all about in naming her wines Collaboration. It’s the meeting of great Hawkes Bay vineyards and growers, with her deft, winemaking touch. Having gained experience with top notch Californian and Margaret River producers, Julianne returned to New Zealand and began Collaboration in 2010. Her wines are thoughtful interpretations of varieties suited to the Bay; Chardonnay and Bordeaux varieties like Cabernet Franc.
