Dolcetto offers light, fresh, early-drinking red from one of the world's greatest wine regions, Piedmont. Sandrone Dolcetto offers this, and more. There's a dense coating of fruit around the bones of this one, and it's a joy to drink.

Barolo is a hallowed place. Pure Nebbiolo is grown in small parcels expressing the many varied soils, climates and aspects of this hilly part of Northern Italy. It’s a place where staunch, uncompromising wines have been made in traditional styles by generations of the same families. Luciano Sandrone didn’t grow up in one of these families, and put his life savings into buying a tiny patch of Barolo (in Cannubi Boschis) in 1978. The first wines he produced were quickly celebrated in the States for being more accessible, sleek and modern than their counterparts. Now an icon, Sandrone successfully straddles a traditional and modern approach in the production of Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera.
