About 40 years ago the Michel family made a decision that all their Chablis would be produced in stainless steel only, leaving the wines unadorned, without oak or obvious winemaking. And that’s exactly what we love about this wine, it’s purity. It has a little flesh on its bones, with a nice core of stone fruit, but finishes with all the mineral, fresh dryness you’d expect from a top notch Chablis producer.

Established in the 1850’s, Louis Michel & Fils is still a family affair, now in the hands of Guillaume Michel. Their 25 hectares of grand cru, premier cru and village designated vineyards are managed with organic practices, and are all within 2 kilometres of the winery in the heart of the regions original terroir.
