A.A. Badenhorst Secateurs Chenin Blanc 2021

$31.00

Lesser known to us here in NZ, Chenin Blanc is actually the most widely planted grape variety in South Africa, from where this Secateurs hails. When old bush vine Chenin is put into the talented hands of Adi Bardenhorst, the result is truly satisfying drinking. Fleshy but fresh. Summery but serious.

After stints at Chateau Angelus, Alain Graillot, Wither Hills and 9 years at Rustenberg, Adi settled in Swartland and now farms with his cousin Hein on their own 60 hectares. AA Badenhorst is now known around the world as being part of an exciting new wave of South African producers. With organic practices and traditional winemaking techniques they produce delicious wines of real character and drinkability.
