There’s heaps going here aromatically - sweet navel orange, tropical fruit, lychee, honey and gingery spice. It’s succulent and weighty to taste, levelled out by firm dryness. It’s 100% organically grown Sauvignon Blanc, and this expression of our most planted variety will blow your mind. After 51 days of skin contact and wild yeast fermentation, the wine was basket pressed and aged for 3 and half months in seasoned French oak.

Harrison Eaton, son of Michael Eaton who established the famous Clayvin vineyard among others, applies youthful curiosity and enthusiasm to his craft. Harrison is unafraid of pushing the boundaries in terms of wine style. Yet the wines display a high level of experience and confidence, reflecting his upbringing among the vines in Marlborough. Made from organically grown fruit, Mélange wines are all wild fermented, unfined and unfiltered.
