This is beautifully balanced, dark fruited, flavoursome yet understated Aussie red. It’s a blend of Yarra Valley grown Bordeaux varieties, with a dash of the Turkish variety Bogazkere bringing a peppery spice. If you want a great example of the elegance and balance of modern Australian red wine, then look not further. 

Kirilly Gordon and Matt Talbot each had their own extensive experience in the wine industry and crossed paths in the vineyard before their collaboration. In those strange pandemic years, their opportunity to start Patch Wines came about when a portion of Yarra Valley fruit had no place to go. The Shed Red was the outcome, and they’ve expanded their production to make Gamay, Barbera, Petit Verdot and Marsanne since.
