Named after the brightest of stars in the Pleiades, Alcyone is 100% organic Sangiovese from the Osawa vineyard in Mangatahi. It’s an expression of the fragrant, red fruited side of this great Italian variety, with gentle, powdery tannins and freshness. It’s confirms in our minds that more Sangiovese should be grown in New Zealand!

Amy and Olly Hopkinson-Styles met while Amy was winemaking in Spain, and Olly was writing for Decanter Magazine in London. They were drawn back to New Zealand with Hawkes Bay in mind as a great place to make wine and bring up sprogs.
